WB Games Montreal, a division of WB Games Inc., is looking for a Financial Analyst Intern to join its Finance Team!

 

Your New Role…

In this internship be responsible of assisting the finance team and its internal and external partners. Day-to-day you will be responsible for operational activities of the business unit including month-end activities and supporting invoicing and accounts payables processes. You will also participate in the preparation of budgets, monthly forecasts, government tax credit claims and financial reporting. Moreover, you could be asked to participate in projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency and optimizing resources within the finance group and throughout the studio.

 

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Offer operational support to the accounts payables process including invoice coding, purchase order requisition, payment verification and other related services
  • Act as the point of contact for partners and vendors to coordinate and facilitate on-boarding and administrative activities.
  • Participate in monthly closing activities including accruals and cost allocations.
  • Prepare and present reports and analysis on varying studio activities.
  • Take part in a broad range of activities related to the preparation and submission of the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts, including data entry and validation.
  • Prepare schedules and supporting documents for tax credits claims and governmental audits.
  • Participate in implementation of improvements to financial models and processes.
  • Prepare other ad hoc analyses, reports and special projects as required by the manager.

 

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting underway is a requirement.
  • Being able to work in a hybrid manner from our offices located in downtown Montreal is a requirement.
  • Having the legal right to work in Canada and without assistance in obtaining a work permit is a requirement.
  • Curiosity, motivation, and the will to make a difference.
  • An interest towards the game industry.
  • Dedicated team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Must be able to work autonomously.
  • Experience with VBA, Power Query, Power BI and SAP is an asset.
