Job Description
WB Games Montreal, a division of WB Games, Inc. is looking for an Associate Producer.
Your New Role…
As part of the production team, you will work closely with producers and other disciplines to support the development of console/PC AAA games. You’ll be responsible for driving the efforts of a multidisciplinary team focusing on a specific feature set. To do so, you’ll work closely with the senior production members of your team and pair with the leadership of the disciplines you’ll work with to achieve the scope.
You’ll work in tandem with the team leaders to drive and plan and scope the projects milestones and sprints under your purview. You’ll make use of your outstanding communication skills to convey, clarify, track, and update all changes required to achieve our goals. You will ensure that the work is properly assigned, organized, and acknowledged by the team. You’ll create reporting and dashboards to communicate progress across all levels of collaborators, from individual to executive.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Partner with senior production, direction, and team leadership to establish and plan the area under your purview scope, timelines, deliverables and milestones.
- Establish check-ins and clear communication practices across the disciplines you support; facilitate information transmission and the tracking of changes to ensure everyone moves forward in unison.
- Proactively maintain and update workflows to enhance productivity, best-practice adoption, and better communication.
- Using your critical thinking skills, work closely with your assigned mandate’s leadership and in collaboration with your senior production team members to identify risks and build action plans to anticipate and mitigate roadblocks.
- Regularly maintain production planning roadmaps, dashboard, and task tracking tools.
- Be a pillar for the team. Both in terms of point of contact but also in terms of leadership to mobilize the teams to deliver high quality content that will positively impact the player experience.
Qualifications & Experience…
- 2+ years working in the capacity of Assistant Producer or Production Coordinator (or equivalent) in the videogame industry.
- Experience working with JIRA, Flow (shotgrid) and/or another task and bug tracking tools.
- An understanding of the product development cycle (processes and workflows)
- Strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn current systems and work with team to gain deeper understanding.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, etc.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and email communication skills.
- French / English bilingualism is a requirement.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate your peers.
- A knowledge and desire to contribute to WB Games brands.
- A collegial school degree in a related discipline is an asset.
