This International Women's Day we celebrated women and local art, two topics we feel strongly about.

We asked 3 local street artists to create their own interpretation of the famous Batgirl. In quick interviews, we asked them a few questions about their career and their place as a woman in the world of street art. Each of them also pledged to generously make a donation to an organization supporting the safety and / or education of girls and women in Montreal.

Our first featured artist, Monosourcil, is interested in graffiti and street art. Her version of Batgirl represents diversity and unity within a group. Drawing from her imagination, she presents a caricatured side of these “superwomen.” Follow Monosourcil on Instagram and watch her interview below.
