WB Games Montreal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), seeks a Senior 3D Artist, Modelling.

 

Your New Role…

In this role you will work closely with the Lead Artist and other members of the team to create high-quality environmental and/or character props. You will be responsible to create and refine art assets for assigned aspects of the game and may also assist the lead in defining process and pipelines along with aesthetic goals.

To ensure your success, you will regularly share your work and discuss constructively with your team about potential improvements, receive feedback to apply and ensure that your work respects the established artistic vision of the game. You will communicate frequently with the other artists and technical artists working on the game sections for which you are responsible.

 

Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Create any required hard surface or organic props and textures at a high level of quality while upholding the art direction defined.
  • Produce and iterate on a variety of assets through all phases of production, including, organic assets, hard-surface models, and more.
  • Establish benchmark and quality goals through the creation of high-quality assets.
  • Identify and address art and concept challenges that may impact production, providing constructive solutions.
  • Regularly present your work to leadership and swiftly adapt based on feedback.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorms, and pipeline improvement projects.
  • Support other artists on the team by sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the team’s overall skill set.
  • Work with the team to define best practices and workflows for production pipelines.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot assets to ensure they adhere to memory budgets and technical specifications.

 

Qualifications & Experience…
  • 5+ years of experience as a games artist and having participated in the creation of a AAA title.
  • Person who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys good communication and sharing knowledge.
  • Creative, focused, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver.
  • Great proficiency using 3D Studio Max or Maya and Zbrush.
  • Experience with a professional game engine is essential. Knowledge of Unreal Engine is a desired asset.
  • Knowledge of and passion for video games.
  • Portfolio/website demonstrating your art skills.
