WB Games Montréal is looking for a Project Manager, QA Automation.

Your New Role…

In this role, you’ll lead automated testing initiatives and drive innovation to elevate testing strategies across multiple teams and projects. You’ll act as the main point of contact for studios using automation-driven QA services, offering your expertise in staffing, strategy, best practices, and process alignment where needed.

You’ll be responsible for building long-term confidence in the accuracy and coverage of automated tests. You’ll unlock untapped value in existing automation passes and push for broader, more impactful automation across the entire portfolio. You’ll take a pragmatic approach—working with what’s available while identifying where new tools or features could make a real difference.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Monitoring and reporting of existing Automation efforts to key stakeholders.  Provides guidance to the team’s ability to deliver high-level visibility on the status automation and AI efforts through dashboards, milestone tracking, and clear reporting.
• Investigate and oversee integration AI-driven testing solutions to enhance automation efficiency.
• Oversees and provides direction on the testing of the games and the use of automation and AI tools with the objective of improving the product’s stability, reliability, consistency, absence of product defects and compliance.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, AI advancements, and best practices in test automation.
• Manage automation projects timelines, risks, and potentially resources.  Owns the roadmap for what automation to buiild and maintain.
• Oversee Jira issue management, including dashboard creation, triage, and milestone tracking.
• Work with Project Leadership to identify and mitigate risks in the development process to ensure overall project health. Track, report, and optimize QA Automation team performance, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness, identifies skill gaps and suggests training.
• Document incidents and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Automation QA processes.

Qualifications & Experience…

• 7 years of experience in QA testing and software automation, including 3 years in QA management within the video game industry.
• Experience in evaluating and implementing testing tools and frameworks.
• Deep understanding of the game development cycle, including workflows, processes, and production phases.
• Ability to analyze complex testing challenges and propose innovative solutions
• Strong expertise in Jira, Confluence, Perforce, Kanban (task management) and test management tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to create solid test plans and strategies
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with game engines (Unreal Engine), source control (Perforce), and development environments (Visual Studio).
• Talented evaluator of root cause issues and potential solutions
• Strong hiring, mentoring, and performance management skills.
• Ability to evaluate and improve team performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance skillsets.
• Natural curiosity in AI-driven testing methodologies and machine learning applications
• Multilingual, a desired asset (English/French bilingualism preferred)
