Job Description
WB Games Montreal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), seeks an Associate Technical Designer.
Your New Role…
In this role, you will contribute to the creation of game elements by focusing on the configuration of systems and gameplay mechanics. You will use scripting (Blueprint) to prototype features, create unique events, and support the continuous improvement of the game’s quality.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Create and configure gameplay features using recognized game engines as well as our proprietary WB tools.
- Set up and maintain game objects, systems, and NPCs.
- Collaborate closely with the design team (level and gameplay) to develop, refine, and balance the player experience.
- Integrate feedback from the QA team and feature testing to identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to gameplay or design.
- Implement, adjust, and troubleshoot design iterations throughout development to ensure consistency and integrity of the design vision.
- Use Unreal Engine’s visual scripting (Blueprints).
Qualifications & Experience…
- Specialized degree in video game studies or equivalent professional experience is required.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and Blueprints.
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and solid organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of coding or programming is a considerable asset.
- A portfolio/website showcasing your interest in the more technical aspects of game/level design is a plus.
