Insider Interviews at MEGAMIGS

The MEGA, general public component of MEGAMIGS, a major event in the video game sector in Quebec organized by La Guilde des Jeux Vidéo du Quebec, was held on September 25 and 26. WB Games Montréal was there once again this year to present original content during this virtual edition.

Education being the spotlight of this year’s edition, we wanted to take part in such a theme that is very close to our hearts by putting forth our studio talents’ passions and professions. We presented an overview of their backgrounds while they shared their advice to the next generation on how to build a career within the industry.

Our virtual kiosk therefore offered two arts-focused video interviews, one with Alice Bernier, Audio Director and creative musician who studied sound engineering, and one with Yanick Desrosiers, Senior Artist in Character Design and team leader on the Gotham Knights project, and Maximilien Albert, Senior Character Artist.

We also joined the Pôle Synthèse’s Education Zone for a special collaboration around game and image creation courses across Quebec. A short online questionnaire allowed visitors to discover the type of media and image training that corresponded to their aspirations by associating them with the profile of one of our new game’s heroes.

Finally, all of our job and internship offers were available for everyone to explore and 2 members of our team offered 2 hours of live chat during the event.

The Pro component of this event, the MIGS, will take place virtually on November 12 and 13. Feel free to come visit us!
